How to Register an account on StOM
Step 1: Visit the Registration Page
Navigate to the My Account page or click the lock icon in the navigation menu.
Choose your account type:
- “I am a vendor” – if you want to sell products
- “I am a customer” – if you only want to buy
Step 2: Fill in Your Registration Details
For Customers:
- Email address only
For Vendors:
You’ll need to provide:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Shop name
- Shop URL (auto-generated from your shop name)
- Business address:
- Street (e.g., Daystar University)
- City (e.g., Athi River or Nairobi)
- Postal code (e.g., 00204 or 00100)
- Country: Kenya
- State/County (e.g., Machakos or Nairobi)
Step 3: Confirm Your Account
After registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to set your password. Click the link to activate your account and create a secure password.
How to Start Selling on StOM
Step 1: Access Your Vendor Dashboard
Once logged in:
- Click “My Account” in the menu or the person icon in the header
- This takes you to:
studentmarket.co.ke/my-account/ - Click the “Go to Vendor Dashboard” button
From your dashboard, you can:
- View your store’s performance overview
- Add and manage products
- Track orders
- Customize your store settings
Step 2: Add Your Products
- Go to Products → Add New in your vendor dashboard
- Fill in the product details:
- Upload product images
- Write a compelling title and description
- Set price and stock quantity
- Select a category (e.g., clothing, electronics, accessories)
- Add relevant tags to help customers find your products
- Click Save/Publish
Your product will now appear in your shop and be available for purchase!
Step 3: Manage Orders & Payments
When a customer places an order:
- You’ll receive a notification in your vendor dashboard
- View all orders in one place
- Update stock levels
- Manage deliveries
Payment & Delivery
